Sunand has been appointed to the role with a mandate to raise the society’s profile among practising architects and to boost cooperation with the RIBA. His term of office will last for two years.
The ABS provides support to architects, assistants and landscape architects, offering practical help like confidential advice, grants, gifts and loans. In recent years more than half of those helped have been under 65 and one in five has been under thirty-five – according to the society.
