The Museum of Architecture’s Gingerbread City is now open to the public. This year’s exhibition is at Somerset House.

Architects, engineers and designers are tasked with creating a futuristic city made entirely of gingerbread. This year’s ‘transport’ theme explores imaginative new ways of moving around our densely populated cities – all made entirely from gingerbread.

Based on a masterplan developed by Tibbalds Planning and Urban Design, Gingerbread City champions sustainable design ideas and innovation on a mini scale. This year’s exhibition will include a series of daily family-friendly gingerbread house-making workshops and a shop.

Our gingerbread team have been busy over the past few weeks creating our Embankment plot and the entire city will be featured on Saturday Kitchen on BBC One on 21st December.

The exhibition is open until 5th January 2020. Further information and bookings here.
