Thomas Henderson Schwartz

Tom has worked on several school projects where he focussed on technical drawing and interior design. He co-led the design and construction of a series of folded pods used to display films during the 2017 London Festival of Architecture. He believes in architecture’s ability to positively affect lives and has volunteered extensively for the architectural charity Article 25. Here, he worked on projects in Myanmar, Burkina Faso and India. At university, his thesis project focussed on sustainable housing in Zanzibar and from this he developed a particular interest in the use of bamboo in design and construction. He also led the design of a bio-cultural heritage centre that he helped build and coordinate in rural Malaysian Borneo. Tom is an adventurous rock climber and you can find him training most weekends at various locations around London.
