Patrick Van den Bergh

Patrick joined Penoyre & Prasad in 2020 as Senior Healthcare Architect, working primarily on Oriel at St Pancras. He has extensive experience of many significant projects across all sectors, and more recently with a focus on healthcare. Patrick enjoys engaging with people and making spaces work for them. He believes that good design depends on collaboration and teamwork.

Prior to joining Penoyre & Prasad, Patrick’s experience includes leading the teams on the St George’s Hospital Masterplan in Tooting, a new Paediatric Unit in Salisbury; Liskeard Community Hospital in Cornwall; Frimley Park Hospital Emergency Department in Surrey; Barts and the London Hospitals; the Rosie Maternity Hospital and Cambridge Biomedical Campus – both at Addenbrookes Hospital in Cambridge.

Patrick was born in Antwerp, Belgium. He studied architecture at what is now called the University of Antwerp, then Strathclyde University in Glasgow where he gained a Masters Degree in Computer Aided Architectural Design.

In his spare time, Patrick’s interests lie in theatre, graphic design and photography. He is a long-time amateur dramatics enthusiast and is closely involved with, and Chairs his local amdram group, providing entertainment to audiences and raising money for worthwhile local initiatives. Patrick speaks several languages, including Flemish, English, French and German.
