The official opening of the Sibson Building was held at the University of Kent yesterday.

The Schools of Business & Maths quickly made themselves at home in the newly completed building and Wednesday’s event was a wonderful celebration of the project’s success.

In the dappled light of the packed central atrium, there was a real festival atmosphere (led by the University’s brass band!) amongst the countless people who had been involved in the journey in one way or another and hundreds of delighted staff and students.

The University’s Vice Chancellor, Julia Goodfellow, introduced the event and a commemorative plaque was unveiled by the wife of former Vice-Chancellor Robin Sibson, in whose name the building is dedicated.
