The first phase of Woodside High School Inclusive Learning Campus in Haringey was opened today by Secretary of Education Michael Gove. When complete this inclusive learning campus will co-locate 1080 mainstream pupils and 120 special school pupils.
A pragmatic and budget-conscious design strategy skilfully integrates new and refurbished buildings to create substantially enhanced and better equipped teaching spaces, which are comfortable and energy efficient and which will support the further development of teaching and learning standards for the school.
The overall environmental strategy for the project complies with both Haringey’s planning policy and the Mayor of London’s energy policy in relation to on-site generation of power to reduce carbon.
As a combination of new and refurbished buildings, the project delivers high quality at significant value for money.
