Unless they are sponsors, architects’ ability up until now to shout about their involvement with the Games has been severely curtailed by contracts and the Olympics Act. The Defintely-Not-the-Olympics Pecha Kucha allows them free rein to show how the delivery of the venues can help promote the UK profession and construction industry.
Join NLA for a special Pecha Kucha evening celebrating the architecture of the Games and its legacy. As part of the London Festival of Architecture 2012, and with only three weeks to go to the opening ceremony, a series of the key designers involved in delivering Olympic venues, facilities and supporting infrastructure will present their personal take on working on projects of such international significance.
