To mark the launch of their new book ’50 Architects, 50 Buildings’, and as part of this year’s London Festival of Architecture, the Twentieth Century Society have invited Greg Penoyre and Piers Gough to give a tour and talk of the Barbican and Golden Lane Estates, buildings they chose as ones that had particularly inspired them.

The book features some of the most inspirational buildings in the world, chosen by leading contemporary architects. It is based on articles originally written for Building Design. Specially commissioned photographs by Gareth Gardner and Edward Tyler illustrate the book throughout. Architectural journalist Pamela Buxton interviewed the architects as they revisited the buildings to provide evocative and highly personal portraits of the designs which inspired them.

Further information is available here. ‘50 Architects, 50 Buildings,’ will be available from late June with a RRP of £30.
