The Bobby Moore Academy Secondary School has been shortlisted for an Education Estates award, in the ‘Project of the Year – School’ category.

The Bobby Moore Academy Secondary School is a high-rise school in the heart of the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park on one of the smallest school sites in London. The 9,500m2 building provides education and community facilities to support the growing neighbourhood.

The design delivers a creative and imaginative response to its restricted location, including maximised outdoor play space and views through and across the site. Learning, teaching and social areas are generous, bright and welcoming. The six-storey school presents a bold civic presence to the Park, overlooking a new tree-lined public space beside City Mill River.

Winners are announced at the Education Estates Exhibition Conference in October.
