The Kantor Centre of Excellence and the Bobby Moore Academy Secondary School have been shortlisted in this year’s AJ Architecture Awards.
The Kantor Centre of Excellence, shortlisted in the Mixed Use category, is a new build and refurbishment project providing workspace together with clinical, research and training facilities for the Anna Freud Centre charity, as well as teaching space for The Family School, a new specialist school for children with mental health problems and their families.
The Bobby Moore Academy Secondary School, shortlisted in the Schools category, is an exemplar high-rise 6FE secondary school, located on one of the smallest sites in London. It creates a welcoming civic presence and public space while providing education and community facilities to support the growing neighbourhood.
The AJ Architecture Awards recognise excellence in UK architecture across a range of categories. Each shortlisted project is visited by a judging panel and published in the Architects’ Journal.
The 2019 awards winners will be announced at the ceremony in London on 20 November 2019 at Exhibition London, Shepherd’s Bush.
