Wolverhampton Learning Quarter

Penoyre & Prasad has workd with Wolverhampton on a series of  projects to develop Wolverhampton’s Learning Quarter. The City Council, University and Adult Education Services are collaborating on urban regeneration to transform two urban blocks including three fine existing listed buildings in the centre of Wolverhampton. The Learning Quarter will become an accessible city centre learning and communications resource and a vibrant part of city life.

Design Competition win for The Learning Curve.

Our strategy for the site has survived from this original competition win in 1996. It proposed a new square to unite existing listed and new buildings based on a careful reading of the site’s spatial character and people’s movement across it. The project has since developed and been phased according to available funding.
