Sunand Prasad is co-founder of the practice and contributes to its overall design philosophy.
As President of the RIBA from 2007 to 2009, Sunand was responsible for a number of projects designed to focus the energies of the profession upon the need to address climate change, and was voted one of the Independent’s top 100 environmentalists for his work in ‘greening the RIBA’. He continues to highlight the profession’s actual and potential contribution to combating climate change.
As a leading figure in architecture and construction he continues to hold a number of key positions related to policy development and design quality, including member of the Mayor’s Design Advisory Panel for London and member of the UK Government’s Green Construction Board.
Sunand was one of the founding Commissioners of CABE and played a central part in the development of the Construction Industry Council’s Design Quality Indicators. He is currently a Built Environment Expert at the Design Council.
Sunand’s personal commitment to sustainable growth and ethical practice ranges from engaging in high level policy development to participation in the annual 1,500km Cycle to Cannes charity bike ride, current Chairmanship of the charity Article 25 and past Trusteeships for the charities Cape Farewell and Centre for Cities.
