Ana Matic joined Penoyre & Prasad in 2002, becoming an Associate in 2010, and has worked on a wide range of the practice’s award-winning health, housing and education projects.
Ana has particular experience in the delivery of transformational educational projects. She was instrumental in the practice’s successful bid for Camden’s new flagship UCL Academy, and led the project from concept to completion. As project architect she also led the design and delivery of the award winning John Perryn School in West London, working with the contractor to develop an offsite construction approach to meet a particularly tight programme.
Ana is currently Project Leader on St Mary Magdalene C of E School expansion project on the Greenwich Peninsula. This large school campus combines Nursery and Primary elements with a 900 pupil Secondary school and 300 place Sixth form. Briefing stages of the project involved extensive consultation with the Peninsula Masterplan developer, wide End User group involving existing feeder schools and the Health & Safety Executive with regards to the vicinity of the site to the existing peninsula Gas Holder.
Within Penoyre & Prasad she is a design champion for modular and prefabrication systems.
Ana studied Art History at Belgrade University and Architecture at The Bartlett, University College London. In earlier practice she worked on high spec private housing & office projects and also the development of “Framework” timber prefabricated system, later used by Penoyre & Prasad for the construction of the RIBA award winning Prior Weston Primary School.
